Video:
Buried in Your Own Backyard follows Cranbrook
Institute of Science archaeologist Dr. Michael Stafford on a real
archaeological dig located in central Michigan. This program challenges
students to examine what they think archaeology is all about based
on what they have seen in movies and popular culture, and evaluate
how accurate these views really are. Students will lean about the
modern science of archaeology, how it is done, how material culture
is analyzed, and what archaeology can tell us about people who lived
in the distant past as well as our modern cultures of today!
