Video: Mozart, Math & Music will introduce students to the music of Mozart through the prism of basic mathematical principles. The Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra, Maestro Charles Burke, young musicians and Herr Mozart join forces to create an entertaining, informative program for students and adults. Students will discover that Mozart’s music is all around them – on TV, in movies and radio and even in math games. Two teenaged members of DSCO share insights about themselves and their lives in "A Day in the Life" segments. Two mathematical principles will be musically explored – the Fibonacci Sequence (shown in Symphony No. 40 in G-minor) and a contribution from Pythagoras regarding pitch.

CD ROM : Mozart, Math & Music is a fun-filled trip where "Little Mozey" helps students learn about basic math principles and musical concepts, including an introduction to Pythagoras and Fibonacci. Students exlpore with an interactive reading, timeline, games, puzzles and more. Students will even compose their own music! the CD ROM introduces some of the history of Mozart’s life and music; helps students analyze patterns in music and teaches students to recognize the instruments in an orchestra. Also included are video clips and information on the DSCO. Highlights include:
